CoachHire.com Launch API at World Travel Market London 2015

Excel Centre, London. On 2nd November 2015 CoachHire.com will launch their dynamic web service designed for quick and simple integration with travel and tour agents. The API provides access to the CoachHire.com network of more than 4,000 group transport depots throughout the world.

The company believes this will solve the lack of a modern, scalable solution for large scale B2C and B2B travel bookers looking to widen their customer offering with group transportation. The strategy builds upon CoachHire.com management’s personal and partnership experience within the taxi and minicab sector where groups of more than 8 cause issues for suppliers and aggregators alike.

API cogs

Managing Director, Mathew Hassell, says “There are hundreds of solutions for travel operators within the taxi and cab industry but the group transport sector has been neglected. This is in part because of the perceived difficulty in managing the sector as a whole. Coach & minibus transport has fallen technologically behind similar sectors and we are bridging that gap.”

The company’s technology is designed to cater to the ‘instant’ generation and eliminate undue delay in pricing and supply without relying on inflexible fixed pricing structures. This means CoachHire.com clients benefit from seasonal and geographic savings linked with supply and demand, instantly. The unique bidding software and pricing algorithms around which the programme is designed underpin the pricing stability and ensure prices are always market competitive.

Hassell says, “We have expanded our network and infrastructure over the past four years and we are now in a strong position to provide the travel industry with a reliable and comprehensive group service that simply cannot be found elsewhere.”

Chief Technical Officer, Steven Smith, is overseeing the integration team. With over 15 years’ experience providing technology to the travel sector as founder of Professional IT, developers of the Oscar platform, Steven is confident of providing an API that will meet the requirements of existing and future platforms: “We’ve gathered enough data from our previous and current partnerships to know we’re putting forward a framework that is simple to connect with but allows access to an incredibly powerful resource - our international vehicle network.”
